About Ventura County Water Damage Pros
A no-cost, local referral service. Not a water damage and mold restoration company.
Who we are
Ventura County Water Damage Pros is a no-cost referral service for homeowners, renters, and property owners in and around Ventura County, California. We are not a contractor, and we do not perform water damage restoration or mold remediation work ourselves. When you send us a request, we connect you with an independent local water damage and mold restoration company that serves your area, and that provider contacts you directly. Always verify a contractor's license at cslb.ca.gov before hiring.
Why this site exists
When water damage or mold hits, people need clear answers quickly, and many sites covering Ventura County are run by national lead brokers with little local detail. We publish practical, community-specific information for the whole county, from beach condos to hillside homes and rural properties, and give residents one simple way to reach an independent local restoration company.
How the referral works
- Tell us what happened. Use the short form to share your city, what happened, and whether water is still coming in.
- We connect you. We pass your request to one independent local restoration company that covers your area.
- Get an assessment. The company contacts you, inspects the damage, and gives you an estimate.
- You decide. Ask questions, talk with your insurer if needed, and hire only if it is right for you.
What we promise, and what we don't
- Using this site costs you nothing. Providers, not homeowners, support the service.
- We share your request with one independent local provider, not a long list of companies.
- We do not do the work, set prices, or guarantee any provider's work. The provider you hire is responsible for its license, permits, insurance, estimate, and workmanship.
- We don't publish made-up customer stories, invented statistics, or made-up credentials.
- We never promise insurance coverage, and we don't give insurance, legal, or medical advice.
Protect yourself when hiring
Ask for the company's California contractor license number and check it on the CSLB website. Ask for proof of liability insurance and workers' compensation, a written estimate, and copies of moisture readings. Read any work authorization fully before signing, especially language about insurance benefits. For mold, consider an inspector who does not also do the remediation. In California, the down payment for many home improvement contracts is limited to 10% of the contract price or $1,000, whichever is less. Be careful with door-to-door offers after storms.
